Autoclaves Group Announces New Contract Gains
Autoclaves Group has announced three new contract wins together valued at almost £1 million – two in its core UK aerospace and motor sport markets, and a third for their emerging export market.
NP Aerospace, of Coventry, one of the largest thermosetting moulding companies in Europe, which holds a major presence in the defence industry, has commissioned a new 8m long x 3.2m diameter autoclave for the manufacture of composite armour components for military vehicles to be used on active service by Britain’s armed forces.
EPM Technology, of Draycott Derby, which builds carbon fibre body parts and components for Formula 1 and Aerospace markets has ordered 2 autoclaves from Autoclaves Group.
This, the first system, is a refurbishment of an existing 4m x 1m unit.
The autoclaves are part of a substantial investment package EPM Technology are currently undertaking, bringing their Derby site into line with the latest industry specifications and standards
The aim is to increase outputs and save on running costs utilizing the latest equipment knowhow.
EPM Technology chose Autoclaves Group as their preffered equipment supplier over their original autoclave manufacturer
Bindwell
A new 5m long x 2m diameter autoclave is being built on behalf of Bindwell for its new manufacturing facility in Prague. Once completed, Autoclaves Group engineers will travel to the Czech Republic to install and commission the machine.
Russell Gibson, managing director of Autoclaves Group, based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, said: “All three contracts were gained in the face of stiff competition. We continue to win new business in the new-build and refurbishment sectors both at home and overseas.
“We believe this is based on our ability to deliver quality, cost-effective solutions tailored to the specific needs of our growing customer base.”
